Is there anyone here who loves to cook?

Me? I super duper loves to cook. big grin

I always find ways to cook something unusual and still manage to make them taste yummy, though sometimes  not all are picture worthy hahaha.

So, one cold morning I was craving to chow down a hot and spicy instant noodles in the cupboard, but thinking about the unhealthy ingredients inside one pack of it makes me think otherwise.

Did I give up? Of course not! I still have something in mind to cook. big grin  And since my Spicy Korean Rice Cake (ddeokbokki) was a hit, I think I know what I am gonna cook, plus anyone can try it cause it is cheaper yet taste the same.

Do you have any idea what it is? Yes! You're right! I'm going to cook JJAMPONG. love struck You remember that Korean-drama like commercial in your boob-tube? Yes, that kind of Jjampong, but much healthier I guess day dreaming

Foi De Miel Shoppe is CRAZY ABOUT BAGS :)

Do you agree that online shopping is the new shopping trend today? Hmnn.. I do as a matter of fact I am even encouraged to put up my own online shop. Why, You ask? because there's a great potential in an online business. You can cater to a wider range of clients, be it demographic, geographic and social class. It is also a bonus that everything you posts online goes viral (means fast as how computer viruses infect your data). Oh, and remember also that we now have smart phones that are WiFi enabled. So, doing your business online is much easier and hassle free wherever you are [In my opinion of course :)].

Why am I posting about this?

Banana-Oats Chocolate Cookies

Boredom strikes again, looking for something to be busy about. What do you suggest? Go malling? Nah, couldn't do that as I have to travel at least one hour just to reach the nearest mall because of the recent flooding. Hmmn... Oh, I remember I haven't post any blog for a couple of days now and craving for some energy filled snack without much guilt of over eating :D

So, whose up for a healthy snack treat? C'mon don't be shy and raise your hands

There you go. I know you want some uber delicious-not-so-sinful-mouthwatering snack that is jam packed with proteins yet low in calories.

I'm sure you'll gonna love Banana-Oats Chocolate Cookies. And just because I am too lazy to go to the grocery store I'll just use what we have in the cupboards.

Now let the baking begins!!!

What you'll need:

We only have Toblerone inside the fridge :) you can improvise and use any chocolate you want.

  • 8 Bananas
  • 4 cups of oats (Instant or quickcook)
  • Chocolate (optional)
  • baking sheet

How to do it:

  • Peel and mashed the bananas.

  • Cut the chocolate into small pieces (make them look like chocolate chips if you have bigger cuts of chocolates

  • Prepare 4 cups of oats in a mixing bowl or a deep container. While doing this Pre-heat Oven 350 degrees F.
* Remember for every 2 bananas = 1 cup of oats.

Looks Yummy already

  • Mix the mashed bananas into the oats until all of the remaining oats were sticking into the banana like a dough.
  • Fold in the chocolates until well mix in. Then scoop a spoonful of the dough and put in a baking sheet and off to the oven they go. Bake for 15 minutes.
I forgot that this is different with the flour cookies so it isn't flat cause this one doesn't have baking powder that'll make the cookie expand . So you have to flatten them a bit.

  • So after 15 minutes transfer it to the cooling rack and let it cool for a few more mins. or if you want to eat it while the chocolate is melting it's up to you I just have to warn you that the warm choco might peel you tongue
  • Ready to serve now!!!
Those black/brown patched are melted chocolates  yum yum!!!
If you don't like it that sweet you can omit the chocolates, but it will be bland cause the banana will be the only sweetener.

Yield: 24 cookies

Aren't these babies good to eat? Actually drooling now! droolingdroolingdrooling

Must have a bite of these!  Wanna join me? Haha you wish!

Try to bake it dear so you can toss one inside your mouth while you're off to the gym. cookexercise

Gonna have a break first! kiss

Chili Bomb and Cheese Sticks

Has anyone of you heard of a spicy food as a remedy for clogged nose?

No? Well, me too, but my ever-dearest boyfriend have a different say.

I was down with flu the whole week and because I'm having difficulty breathing, my boyfriend told me to eat lots of chilies or any spicy food so I can breathe properly. I didn't believe him of course, but that suggestion makes me crave to eat something spicy *in dreamy land* (bear with me cause I love spicy food ^-^)

So I've decided to cook some Cheese Stuffed Chilies Spring Roll. Sounds Yummy? YES! DEFINITELY *claps both hands in glee*

Okay enough of those let's start cooking as I am already starving :D

Ingredients:

  • Chili Fingers depends on how many you like (I have 25)
  • Spring Roll wrappers, cut into halves
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • at least 1/2 cup of flour or cornstarch
  • 250g of cheese (1 small box)
  • 1/3 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 1 1/2 cup of oil for frying

 Procedures:

  • First, we need to wash the chilies and take out the seeds (If you want it to be more spicy leave some) set aside.
  • Separate the spring roll wrapper and cut it into halves.

  • Next, prepare the eggs and beat them thoroughly set aside.
  • Put the flour or cornstarch in a plate for later use.
  • Cut the cheese into sticks.

  • Prepare the dip, mix the mayonnaise and the ketchup then set aside

  • Stuffed the cheese in the chili fingers [be generous :D]
  • Wrapped it in the spring roll wrapper
  • Dip it in the egg and roll it on the flour/cornstarch

TADA!!! here's how it looks before frying.
I made cheese sticks also cause I have left over cheese and wrappers

  • Set aside while preparing the pan and heating the oil. Once oil is heated deep fry the Chilies.

Here's the finish product!!! YUMMY!!!
(Sorry about the plating presentation I'm really hungry :P)
This are really delicious!!!!

My aunt came over and ask me to prepare some on Sunday for the lunch fellowship that's how delicious they are!

I actually saw this recipe from Casa Veneracion, but I have a different name. I call it Chili Bomb :D Why? Because it's best to eat it right after cooking and when you bite it (just be careful, hot melted cheese can really burn your tongue) taste will explode inside your mouth like a bomb *winks*

How 'bout you guys?
Do you want to try this recipe?
It's easy and it's yummy. Even those who don't really cook at home can try it. Oh, before I forgot the cheese melts when you fry it so be sure to just make the wrapper crisp and out the pan they go.

Happy Eating!!!
